On Sunday, November 21st, join us at Douglas College Concourse at 700 Royal Avenue, New Westminster to see four amazing international exhibitions. Admission is FREE!
The centre piece of our event will feature over 40 amazing local artists painting live for guests to see. There will be pieces from a wide range of genres and styles and they will undoubtedly blow you away! All in all there will be about 100 original pieces there, all of which will be auctioned off throughout the night to raise funds for an orphanage that Peace & Love International is building in 2011 in Cape Town, South Africa. All proceeds will go towards building this world class institution which will be called "The Peace & Love Growth Centre". Bidding starts at very low prices, and you are almost guaranteed to walk away with a great steal, for an even greater cause, so come and do some meaningful early Christmas shopping!
Also on display will be another Peace & Love original: Art for Hope. This project consists of a series of over 20 moving drawings by children from kindergarten to grade 6 from a school in Bethlehem, Palestine called "Hope Flowers". This school teaches children religious tolerance, forgiveness, conflict resolution, and multiculturalism to foster peace in the region for all creeds and races. All drawings are accompanied with a paragraph from the child who drew as well as the child's photo. This exhibit has always drawn a great crowd, and since it was last exhibited, we have acquired 30 new pieces of art from the children.
